How These Lists Work
Wordle has thousands of legal guesses, but only 2,316 words can be the answer. These lists cover the answer pool only, grouped the way players actually get stuck: a known opening cluster, a known ending, a letter pair you have pinned down, or a structural trap like a double letter. Counts below are the number of possible answers in each group. For a live board, the Pattern Finder and the Wordle Solver will always beat manual browsing.
Words Starting With
Two green tiles at the front of the word still leave a family to work through. These are the most common starting clusters in the answer pool.
Words Ending In
Endings carry the traps. ER alone closes 141 answers, and the CK, CH, and SH families are where late guesses go to die. Know these lists before you need them.
Words Containing
Letter pairs travel together. When two yellows land side by side in your head, these lists show every answer that holds the pair.
Words by Structure
Some answers are hard because of their shape, not their letters. Repeated letters, missing vowels, and rare letters account for a large share of failed boards.
