How to Use the Word Pattern Solver
The Word Pattern Solver helps you find 5-letter words that match a specific letter pattern. This is perfect when you know some letters from your Wordle guesses but not the complete word.
Pattern Format
- Known letters: Type the letter in its correct position
- Unknown positions: Leave the box empty (treated as wildcard)
Example Patterns
- _RA_E → Finds: BRAVE, CRANE, GRACE, GRAPE, TRACE
- S___T → Finds: SHORT, SIGHT, SMART, SWEET, SHIFT
- __EAR → Finds: CLEAR, SHEAR, SMEAR, SPEAR
When to Use Pattern Matching
Use the pattern solver when you have green letters (correct position) from your Wordle guesses. Enter those letters in their positions and leave the rest blank. The tool will show you all possible words from the Wordle dictionary that fit your pattern.
